Samphire?is a succulent halophyte (a plant that grows in salt water), with vibrant green fleshy stalks and finger-like leaves. It has a distinctively crisp and salty flavour.
We describe it as the “asparagus of the fish” as its just that bit special.
It can be simply blanched in boiling water or enjoyed in a light batter!
